How To Repair Ceiling Texture
Step 1 preparation.

Then tape mud and skim coat the entire patch. Step 4 sanding the compound. Use a drywall compound and a putty knife to spread a thick layer of mud over the screws image 2 after it is dry put on another coat.
Mist water over the surrounding ceiling texture in an area about 24 in. Scrape around the cracks with a putty knife and use a paintbrush to clean off any dust. Repairing a textured ceiling can be a very messy job.
Sand down any excess drywall compound and then prime. Mud the other patches and repaired areas with the drywall compound. Thinner consistencies allows the drywall mud to flow smoothly across the walls whether you re using hand tools or a sprayer.
