Chicago women have historically had a tough time succeeding in the workplace but over recent years many have made great strides in the business world to become successful ceos or hold other leadership positions.

Progress has been made without a doubt but there is still work to be done. Glass ceiling still keeps top jobs for the boys.
However after a recent professional situation of my own i started to wonder if i was creating my own ceiling. Although the debate does say does the glass ceiling still exist. The idea of a glass ceiling that oppresses women is absurd for many reasons.
The glass ceiling that invisible barrier to advancement that women face at the top levels of the workplace remains as intractable as ever and is a drag on the economy. It s a transparent construct so look through it and act as though it s not there. Glass ceiling for women in the workplace still exists and it s hurting the economy.
So since most men have the higher class jobs the glass still does exist. Men have dominated the business world long enough and now its the womens turn. I don t doubt the glass ceiling is still evident in the workplace.
While some have said this means that the so called glass ceiling blocking women from the top jobs in corporate america has been shattered a recent study fins that this invisible. Yes the glass ceiling does exist. Supporters of this idea say glass is clear so those forced under this ceiling would probably not even notice at first they were under such a restriction.
E2w is working with organisations groups and associations are pressing for change as is the government. The future is brighter for women than it is for men. Some declare it doesn t exist because there are women in power and women have equal rights therefore any limits to their success must be self created or self perceived.
